Dear
parents,
Once
again it is time to
begin preparing for
our annual seventh
grade trip to
Washington D.C.
Next year will mark
our 22nd trip to DC
with our students.
This is an exciting
opportunity that the
students will
remember for a
lifetime. The dates
of our trip are
November 1st-5th.
We have discovered
that taking the trip
in November, when
the crowds are
almost nonexistent,
allows the students
to see and
experience more of
Washington.
Unfortunately, a
trip date in
November, means that
people who would
like to be placed on
some type of a
payment schedule
will have to
register before the
end of this school
year. The company
we use is also
offering several
incentives to people
if they choose to
register early.
We
leave late on
Tuesday night
(around 9:00),
travel through the
night and arrive in
Washington the
following morning.
We tour throughout
the day on
Wednesday, Thursday
and Friday. We do
not stop until we
board the motorcoach
Friday night for our
journey home. Our
arrival time at Flat
Rock is usually
between 6 and 7 on
Saturday morning.
The
trip cost is $798 if
you register before
March 15th and $848
if you register
after the 15th of
March. This cost
includes
transportation,
lodging, meals, tour
guides, any
admission fees,
nighttime security
and a tshirt. We
usually stay at the
Doubletree Crystal
City or a Marriot
Alexandria which are
both very nice
hotels. If you
decide to go ahead
and sign up, you
will need our trip
number which is
5345.
